Management Consultancy and Accounting Support
Our ACCA qualified MD, Tony Bayliss has years of experience in developing and supporting businesses and providing management information. As well as IT projects that support businesses, we can provide advice and support in business planning, raising finance and providing information for management and outside bodies.
Bespoke Software Development
We provide bespoke software tailored to meet your needs and integrating as closely as possible with other application software, including accounting systems, spreadsheets, e-mail, diary and contact databases.
Our development tools include Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and SQL Server. We can also develop web or cloud applications designed to work on any devices with internet access.
We are Sage developers, offering the ability to write add-ons that read and write directly to Sage, giving a seamless integrated system.
“Off-the-shelf” Business & Accounting Software
We are accredited Sage resellers, authorised to supply, install and configure Sage Instant, Sage 50, Payroll and related packages in the Sage range. As Sage Developers we have the tools to write add-ons integrating with Sage.
We also supply and support My.N from Accounting Office, a superb powerful and flexible mid-range business solution written in Visual Basic with SQL Server as its database, capable of handling many users and millions of transactions.
Other Software
We provide high-level spreadsheet support, including macros and pivot tables. These are great tools particularly for producing budgets and management reports but we are also often called upon where existing spreadsheets are broken or undocumented or need to be migrated to a more secure multi-user platform.
We support Dataease, which still has a small but dedicated following and many legacy systems, often developed in house and in need of updating or replacing.
Other Services
IT Audits & Strategy Reviews are excellent ways of bringing an independent outside expert to take a detached look at a company’s systems.
System Implementations & Dispute Resolution: Sometimes we get called in to sort out disasters but where we are called in at an earlier stage we believe in assisting with implementations, rather than making recommendations and leaving the client to get on with it. This involves making sure the system specifications are clearly defined in writing to both supplier’s and user’s satisfaction, instigating regular meetings where those installing the system and those who will be operating and using it can discuss progress and resolve potential conflicts before they even arise.
The user can become hostage to an inept or corrupt supplier, but often the problem is communication. The user sometimes is not clear as to what his requirements are, but more frequently he fails to communicate them to the supplier or the supplier does not listen or does not understand the requirements.
